🏃🏼♀️ Let’s RUN into SPRING! 🏃🏼♀️ Happy first day of Spring and March Equinox! 🌸 Utah still feels on the chilly side, but I’m ready for the warm weather! I had a 45 min run (5.30 - 8:29 average pace) and a 2300 yard swim (35:11 - 1:31 average pace) today but decided that this picture from this summer would be more spring like then my treadmill/pool workout. 😆 I’m so happy to be back tri training to get ready for my Spring Ironman 70.3! .
And I just want to say a huge THANK YOU to all of you for your sweet messages in my story yesterday. Life has had same downs lately and hearing all of your messages of how I’ve encouraged you really warmed my heart to tears! Thank you! I love the support of the running/tri/fitness community so much! Y’all are the best!! 💪🏻❤️ .
Also thank you to @monitorthebeat and @i12run2 for the reposts this week! #happyspringequinox#garminambassador#beatyesterday
HANDS UPPPPP 🙌🏼 for both Mo and Dave hitting course prs on Sunday! I was wicked bummed to pull out of the half due to lack of training while recovering from my sprained ankle. I’m only now getting back to running. But it was so great to hang at the finish line and watch my parents push themselves to new limits! They’re amazing 👊🏼
🇨🇦Some days my motivation leads me to a wonderful moments
Never give up 👊🏼✋🏼

Eu vou correr e não vou me cansar!
I will run and not grow weary!

Started my training with my thoughts all over the place. But Managed to pull myself together and kill it 💥 🙏🏽these sessions remind me that training isn’t only a physical- but a mental process.
What exercise are you gonna do today to challenge your mental strength during training? Drop it in the comments so I can feel with you 😂 (📷: @imkesalander)

👉🏽once you accomplish the training your body is used to, your mind might try to tell you it’s enough. THATS the time when you need to be stronger💥 and remember you came here to be better than last time 👊🏽🔥 ‼️who will do one more rep, sprint, set, or whatever today?! Speedwork makes the dream work; or makes the lungs work? Either way, I was feeling it today! There’s something going through my office and a few people on my team are coming down with a cold. I started feeling it yesterday in my sinuses, but so far it hasn’t really affected me too much. 🤞🏼
Workout: warm-up | 4x1600m, 2:00 jog | cool-down
Happy first day of Spring! You can all wear shorts now! 😂🤣
This is when you know who your true friends are! .
I was carefully running the entire morning so as not to slip and fall in the mud. Well, I eventually did at around mile 11. Instead of helping me get up and pull me out from being stuck in the mud, my “good” friend @hundak9698 scrambled to pull out his phone from his hydration vest while saying “STAY RIGHT THERE! Let me take a photo of you! Stay right there!” 🤦🏽♀️🤣😡🤬 He then said “I promise I’ll help you after!” 😠🤣
I spent the next 3 miles not being able to snack or drink water coz my hands and my water spout were covered with mud and probably cow💩. .
Btw, I still love you my friend. I can’t wait for payback time 😈😈😈
🍀 Week In Review 🍀
With 76 miles, this is a new weekly mileage PR for me! It’s taken me over 14 years of running to be able to safely reach this volume, the last 4 of those years working with a coach. As a morning runner, I wasn’t thrilled about losing all my light this week, but I powered through. At least it wasn’t snowing or freezing rain, which I will likely have to contend with next week.
🍀 Monday: 14.2 miles including 10 at tempo. I ran 4 miles, 3 miles, 2 miles, 1 mile at paces that averaged out to 6:50, with 4-minute recovery jogs in between.
🍀 Tuesday: 11.6 miles at 7:44 avg.
🍀 Wednesday: 8.5 miles easy at 8:50 avg.
🍀 Thursday: 20 x 200m with 200m recovery jogs. The 200m intervals averaged out to 39 seconds each (5:15 pace).
🍀 8.4 miles easy at 8:57 avg. my legs were sore from the 200m workout!
🍀 19 miles at 7:35 avg, which included 15 at Marathon pace nonstop in the middle at 7:21 average.
🍀 5.6 miles recovery at 8:54 avg.
I’m on day 65 of my run streak, averaging 9 miles a day. Thankfully everything feels really good! Only 4 more weeks until Boston! 💙💛💙💛
💫 | #toutesenbasket
That feeling you get when you crush your 32km (20mi) long run without stopping once!
I have never finished a long run (30km or more) without stopping. Usually it’s a pee break or I’m just tired and need to stop for a moment. Today, I ran non-stop the entire run which included 10 kilometres at marathon pace! •
For my next trick, I’m going to eat non-stop for the rest of the day!
Hope you’re having an awesome Saturday!
