The hours always go so fast, we didn't get lunch until 1.45 and it was well and truly earned.
@mattiec73 built the 1st of the 6 new benches going in. This is the highest of them all and has a surface space of 7ft x 3ft.
There is a minute budget to build the new workshop layout and not much time to do it in, so we are utilising some of the storage we already have, including these filing cabinets and finding quick ways to build.
Because the floor is very uneven in this half of the shop, all of the benches are hung from the wall and leveled to the area of floor they cover.
It's difficult to build square and solid units on such an uneven area, but hopefully any differences in the heights and positioning will be minimal and they will be fully stable and secure.
More wall storage will be added as we go and the next bench is being built tomorrow. @cutiecandypop is arranging all of the hardware and we might have @pootlemouse in sooner than we thought, so need her space ready too.
To think we may have about 12 or 13 various work bays fully operational is unreal.
The transformation already this year is amazing and there's much more to come. Dreams can become a reality!
Happy days. Gonna have a sneaky night out to celebrate.
A midweek gig?
