Just finished a Turtle Mala today. Made of onyx, lapis lazuli, aquamarine, and sodalite, this mala is intended to help connect to the root, throat, and crown chakras. The stones are thought to bring protection and preserverence, to aide the wearer in hearing and speaking fundamental truths, and to ease grief and suffering. Caroline is delighted to be teaming up with Valerie May Yoga in offering this special day to you.
This day will be the perfect antidote to our busy lives with our endless to-do lists.
Giving you some time to slow down, sooth the nervous system and reconnect with yourself.
The event on 15th July 2018 will be held at Hendall Barns in Uckfield East Sussex, of which we will have exclusive access to during our day. Hendall Manor Barns surround a sizeable central courtyard with a lawn and a raised terrace, the grounds are absolutely beautiful!
The Barns are situated within the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with The Ashdown Forest a short distance to the north. This is easily accessible by foot along the Wealden Way which passes close by.
There will be ample time to enjoy the peaceful surroundings in between our yoga sessions.
Hendall is approached directly off the A26 via a private drive and a new track leading to a newly re-clad Dutch barn that provides under-cover parking for 42 cars. From here, it is a moment’s walk to the entrance.
The Yoga and Meditation:
Starting the day with uplifting meditation, pranayama and yoga flow. This class will leave you feeling refreshed, energised and ready for the day. This session will be taught by Valerie and assisted by Caroline.
In the afternoon Caroline will take you through a relaxing and rejuvenating Yin and Restorative session. The day will be completed with a chilled-out Yoga Nidra (guided meditation). Valerie will be assisting to make sure you are fully comfortable.
All props will be provided. You may wish to bring along your own yoga mat.
Our Food will be provided by Chef Dan Lucas of Dan Lucas Dining
You will enjoy a healthy Mediterranean themed vegetarian lunch This will be followed by a delicious sweet treat. You will then have a chance to relax in the amazing grounds before we come back into the gorgeous barn for the second part of our day.

This breathing exercise saves the day for me when I feel overwhelmed, too busy or sense an onset of a burnout coming on. This is very effective if you do it for 5-11 minutes. All breath is through your nose 👃, inhale in 4 sips and exhale in 4 sips. Advanced version, extend to 6 sips in and out. Enjoy! And don’t ever get burn out! #burnoutrecovery#stressrelief#destressing

A and I had a little scare this morning with one of the outlets— he unplugged his charger and there was a huge spark and awful burning smell. A called the fire department and police who came to help so quickly, ultimately finding that there is a problem in the wiring that needs to be taken care of. Now we are waiting for the electrician to help us fix it. Taking a moment today to urge anyone in doubt, fear of a problem to always reach for help, because something could Gd for us be wrong. And encouraging everyone to take a moment to think about what’s really important in life and try to hold that core knowing in every moment. ♥️Dreaming back to this morning’s brekkie & coffee but finding beauty here right now too.

Hello Yogis! New Jersey had apparently not gotten The #Springintobalance challenge memo. We are expecting another storm tonight, so I will take this as a variation on Spring.
