It's rainy outside and there is nothing that sounds more delicious than some comfort food🍽️ A few weeks ago I made this vegan chili and it is amazing. All you have to do is throw a bunch of stuff in a crock pot:
-2 cans of black beans
-1 can of pinto beans
-1 can or crushed tomatoes
-1 can of corn
-1 tiny can of tomato paste
-1 cup of quinoa
-2 T nutritional yeast
Leave it in the pot for 6 hours on low heat and you got yourself some rainy day(more like week) chili😍 I put some avocado on top and used a serving of pita chips as my spoon😋

Listen to your “why” every day and pursue it with everything you’ve got.

Looking back 5 years ago, I would never have thought I would be a PT and soon to be future competitor.
My mindset was always to have this as a hobby, who knew it would turn out as my biggest passion and career.

When we think about ways to improve our health, the first thing that comes to mind is usually something to do with getting more exercise or eating better. And when it comes to being happier, most of us believe that material items, like a fancy car, bigger house, or a raise at work will do the trick. While there’s nothing wrong with focusing on or wanting that stuff, it’s often the smaller habits and simpler things in life that have a bigger impact on our outcomes.
Of course getting regular exercise and eating nutritious food is important, hence why I have it on the list, but true health and longevity extends beyond just that. Factors like social connection, daily movement not just exercise, sleep quality, hydration, and sweating can be even more impactful at helping us lose weight, increase energy, prevent disease, or even detox.
Same goes for feeling happier in our everyday lives. Have you ever purchased a material item or reached a physique or strength goal and believed it would solve your problems and make you more content, only to find that feeling to be extremely fleeting? I know I sure have. But it’s when I began turning my focus on being grateful for what I already had, while also connecting with others and finding ways to be in service that I truly started to feel happier on a more regular basis.
And when you feel happier and more grateful, it’s easier to make good choices and stick to healthy habits consistently. So instead of worrying about finding the perfect diet or most extreme workout regimen, start focusing on simple things you can do daily that don’t require much time or motivation but can make a big difference.
