RAS - Part 2 - The science behind the law of attraction and how it can make you miserable.
The human brain at anyone one time is processing millions of pieces of information. The Reticular Activation System is the part of the brain that filters out unnecessary information but filters in what you deem to be important or a threat.
If we are insecure about a certain aspect of our appearance, say having a little extra belly fat that can be seen through a tight shirt, a love handle, or legs that aren’t instagram perfect – we will deem people staring at these areas of our body as important AND a threat. We will then be on guard, on the look out, in a heightened state of watch for people looking at our problem area. When someone stares at that area we easily feel as if our little secret has been “uncovered” and we’ve been judged as not good enough. 🤨
This is how the dark side of the law of attraction works and how we create our own suffering. We train our RAS to filter in these encounters and in turn this triggers our belief system we have about our appearance.
The problem is a lot of us have irrational belief systems about how we look. Because we can judge ourselves so harshly, we can feel like everyone else is judging us just as harshly. It’s insane. It’s brutal. And its heavily de-motivating. This judgement literally robs us of happiness day in and day out.
So use your RAS for positivity. Decide to filter in compliments, positive interactions, lucky events, opportunities and luck. Acknowledge them when they happen. Write them down in your phone as they happen then read over it at the end of the day. I bet your day is better than you think. It’s very real. It’s our RAS.

Microblading is a 2 step process. This client had her first session 5 weeks ago and is now back for her immediate touch up. After your first session it is likely that your brows will lose some pigment. Here is a video of what she retained after her healing phase.
