Know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;

I remember growing up meeting people who walked POWERFULLY in spiritual gifts.
They could interpret dreams and had divine visions of what would happen in the future, and what they saw would actually happen.
The ONLY issue with the some (which is still too many) of these people is that even though they were walking in their spiritual gifts, they often lacked a deep conviction needed to flourish in their character. I’m really talking about [discipline].
Eventually, their influence diminished and respect was lost for them as these character flaws became more and more glaring/overt.
Over the years, with such maturation and insight, it's easier to understand that someone's gift doesn't determine their maturity. .
To be clear, I’m fully aware of the truth that the biggest room in the 🌎 is the room for improvement-that goes for ALL OF US.
God's gifts aren't based on our spiritual maturity but rather His grace.
Walking in this balanced perspective has sheltered our marriage and caused it to remain stable even during growing pains.
We'd like to share our thanks to the Army who hosted us at their corporate covenant signing evening on 8th March. It was a great success with Karen Sewell having the official signature in celebration of international women's day.

Bible in one year: Gen. 44-47 *BOUND BY LIFE*
Read: Heb. 9:20 *“This is the blood of the covenant which God has commanded you. (Heb 9:20)* The blood covenant is made thick and surpasses all other forms of covenant because it is backed by life. Blood signifies life. According to Leviticus 17:11 ... the life of a thing is in the blood. The implication of this is that when people shed their blood to enter into a covenant, they are actually pledging their lives as surety or guarantee for that covenant. This is why death is usually a consequence for breaking the blood covenant because you pledged your life as a surety for the covenant.
This is why when cultists are initiated with blood; they often are ready to defend one another even at the cost of their lives. The significance of shedding their blood, mixing it together and drinking from the same cup is simply, my life is now yours and yours is mine therefore whoever is against your life is against mine. This is what creates common enemies. An offense or assault against one is deemed as against all because their lives have been intermingled by covenant.
God through Jesus Christ has shed His blood to ratify this new covenant. The covenant is backed by the life of Christ. No wonder Jesus said, “Greater love hath not man than he who gave his life for His friends.” *CONFESSION:*
*I receive the gift of the blood that was shed for me. I receive the life of Jesus, and I receive every other benefit that comes with the blood of Jesus.* #Covenant#Gift#Blood#Cm18#Dominioncity#God#Life
“Therefore know that the LORD your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments;”
Deuteronomy 7:9 NKJV
It is comforting that this great and mighty God is a covenant keeping God - the God who never sleeps or slumbers watches over US, His wonderful creations - BUT - there is a clause: WE have a role to play. His covenant is for those who LOVE Him enough to keep His commandments! The commandments which are meant to protect us from all evil in this world of the Prince of Darkness! May God enable us to love Him enough to LOVE ourselves and keep His Statutes in all ways. Have a great week filled with the LOVE for God! Shalom. @LJSMD.
This week Brandon and Jermel attempt to answer why one should honor a contract? Though this may seem like yet another random question, it is not. Contracts are seen in every aspect of life. Most college students know that feeling of dread when you have to sign loan documents. Yet, what happens if that agreement is broken. What happens when one is unfaithful despite the other parties continued faithfulness? #podcast#podcasting#listen#learn#laugh#contract#treaty#covenant#faithful#gospel#share#apologetics
