I can't believe how far I've come. Two years ago I was trying so hard to find my style, relying heavily on the influence of anime and paigeworld tutorials. Two years ago I was just experimenting with different mediums, getting by with a couple offbrand markers and a cheap watercolor set. I thought thin lines were perfect lines, I thought flat color and no blimishes was safety, I though for some odd reason that I could just leave off important things like noses and shadows and no one would notice I didn't know how to draw those things. And it was hard, art was near imposible for me. But I kept at it because I saw the improvement, I saw people who had just one year more experience than me, just five years more experience than me. And those people were my rolemodels. So I learned how to draw noses and shade skin and what I liked best and I went for it. All I can say to you young artists is don't give up. The only thing standing between you and where you want your art to be is how much you practice and how much you really want it and time. You will get there. I am still getting there. You can't be afraid to experiment, to learn, because thats the only way you will grow. I promise.

Let me tell you about Lady. A long time ago on art amino, I met this sweet artist with wicked skills. After stalking her profile for months I gathered up the courage to message her, and found out we had a lot more in common that I would have guessed. Eventually we became best friends. There's only one problem: theres over two thousand miles between us. We've decided to raise money for a plane ticket where I can travel from Alabama to Washington to see my best friend for the first time. So when you buy from my etsy account, you're funding a friendship.
