Didn't get to post yesterday, but had an awesome 9.5-mile run around #CentralPark with the friend who first got me into running!!
First semester of our freshman year in undergrad, Kevin invited me to go out for a run with him. I laced-up, and we bounded out of Jester West. Should've checked the weather, bc 5-minutes out, the clouds opened up and it started POURING!
We still continued running, and actually ran downtown to the State Capitol Building, and that first, stormy run birthed our tradition of dropping everything to meet and go for a run to the Capitol, every first rainstorm of the semester. 🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻⛈
Yesterday morning, there was actually a marathon going on through Central Park, and we ran with them for awhile, before cutting over to the Reservoir trail, and finishing with celebratory #nitrocoldbrew at Starbucks! Hit the fastest pace I had run since the injury (9:05min/mile x 9.5miles!)! .
So glad to have been able to reunite and run together again, Kevin! You remind me of why I love running🙂.
Great to be back in New York. 6am run through Times Square started the day off nicely 🏃🏼♀️🗽🇺🇸🍎
Have a wonderful album of celebrities that i got to share frames with this year - but each time i cant realize how grateful i have been this year.
Sharing this frame with the incredible Dean Karnazes - the athlete who ran 560km in less than 81 hours without sleep and is a New york best selling author. An inspiration to many - his life story is nothing less of a marvel. #NewYorkRunning#trainingformarathon#NeverNotRunning#fitbit#nyrr@nyuathletics
