Today I want to learn something from you!
At med school we learn a lot about how the body works, diseases, pharmacology, bacteria, viruses etc...
Sure, all of these things are very important!
But what is unfortunately often missing in med school, is the teaching of soft skills - which is also very important when you interact with a patient.
Let me know what is important to you when you go to the doctor. What do you expect from him besides his medical competence?

In March 2017, 1 and half year old Kaden Diaz was just learning how to walk and he was almost ready to run. One day, while playing at home, he took off running and tripped, fell, and hit his face on the tile floor. His parents took him to the pediatrician who said it was a facial fracture and it would heal.
A week later, the bump was bigger. Kaden’s parents took him again to his pediatrician and he sent him straight to the ER. Kaden was admitted to the hospital to find out what was wrong with him. After numerous (blood) tests, scans, biopsies, and X-rays, little Kaden was diagnosed with Stage 3 High Risk Embryonal Rhabdomyosarcoma.
Kaden already underwent High Dose radiaton. As you can see on the graphic picture, his right face was burned (outside and inside). It was extremely painful and Kaden couldn’t eat and drink anymore. It was inhumanly and overwhelming to watch for his parents and loved ones.
Kaden now is suffering through intensive rounds of chemotherapy to remove all remaining cancer cells from his little body. It is pure torture, both physically as mentally. Kaden hates it to be hooked up to IV pooles because he can’t run free. He just loves to dance and play as most boys of his age do!
Please send all your love and prayers to Kaden and the entire Diaz family. Cancer is such a heavy disease that affects the whole family.

Coconut oil is said to make marijuana more ‘bio-available”, meaning the degree to which food #nutrients are available for absorption and utilization in the body. #Coconutoil is especially effective when it comes to extracting #THC due to its saturated fat content.
It is capable of absorbing much more #cannabinoids than #butter or other #oils. The fact that #marijuana is a potent #medicine is no longer a secret, and the #medicalmarijuana movement is gaining. For centuries humans have used the #cannabisplant to treat an array of conditions.
One of the easiest, safest and #healthiest ways of consuming medical marijuana is to infuse it into coconut oil.
Like marijuana, coconut oil has a multitude of benefits and is used as a #natural skin care and hair care product. Pure, #organiccoconutoil boosts the #immune system and aids with digestion among other things. This is because of the presence of lauric acid, capric acid and caprylic acid. These acids work as anti-microbal, anti-fungal and anti-bacterial agents.
When marijuana is combined with coconut oil, it results in a cannabinoid intense #medicine that can either be taken in capsule form, added to food or applied topically.
Even just taking a half a teaspoon of coconut oil along with your drop of #medicalmarijuanaoil can increase the bio-availability of the medicine. 🌱
To make #infusedcoconutoil, use 1 gram of decarboxylated cannabis for every ounce of coconut oil. Coarsely crumble the cannabis, put it in a jar and add the #coconut oil. Put the lid on the jar and place it in a pan of water. Heat the water to just below boiling for 1 hour. This prevents the oil from overheating.
Strain the oil to remove the #plant material. Be sure to press all of the liquid out of the cannabis. Strain it through cheesecloth if you wish.
At this point the coconut oil can be eaten as is, used as an ingredient when #cooking, or used as a topical ( #salve#lotions etc.). You can cook with the oil as long as the temperature is less than the boiling point of THC, that is, 315° F.
