Shenanigans.... All the shenanigans tonight out on the trails... FOCUS...I had none... I was one happy mess out there... it was a party of one... and I was feelin' pretty "PEACHY"! I split my miles today... 6 morning miles followed by 4 on the trails... sometimes I don't know what I'm doing and I think that's when my soul is the happiest... @scooby_runner That was one hard long run. 6 mile warm up, 3 at mp, 1 easy, 2 at mp, 2 easy, 1 at mp, 1.5 easy, 1.5 at mp. It didn't seem too bad at first, even got easier after 8 miles, then after about 13 miles it grew painful. I called it quits and decided to do a 3 mile cool down but I cut that in half and ran the last 1 1/2 miles at mp (well faster) 😊 You can talk yourself into pushing harder sometimes. I stopped for water 💦 and was prepared to run 3 easy miles back to the car but ended up picking up the pace and finishing hard, making the run fun again. What did I learn? Not to do a hard workout like this in the heat of the day. Also, keeping it fun makes the miles go by and gets me used to pushing hard when I'm tired at the end of a race. 11 days until twin cities marathon! I'm feeling ready! 💪😊🏃
