Rise and grind 💪 Today was leg day and I definitely felt the burn 😳My glutes or my slowest growing muscle. It is such a pain in the butt (pun intended 😜). I'm currently working legs and glutes three times a week and have seen small changes within the past month. It doesn't happen over night! If you want to see results you got to put in the work! Kickbacks 🙅🏼 - these are a really good isolation movement for those glutes 🍑.
There are many different ways of doing kickbacks, most common ones are standing up or being at a 90 degree angle like I'm doing in this video!
Both ways are correct! It honestly just depends on which one you prefer and which gets your glutes firing the most. For me, I feel it mostly when I'm at an angle🙆🏼. It's easy to see physical progress through photos but its a tad bit difficult to document the mental progress throughout the years in photos lol.
It hasn't always been easy and once you overcome something there's no promise you won't get back into a funk. You'll have your off days (or months lol I'm guilty here I'm sorry🤦🏼♀️), you'll have the days where you skip the gym, you'll have days where emotions control you, where you get sick and feel guilt for skipping the gym- no matter how strong you are, we all have those moments. "Fit" should mean something different to everyone. It's not some cookie cutter term that we all need to strive for. Your version of "fit" is alllll up to you. Want to have abs? Do it. Want to maintain? Do it. Want to bulk? Do it. Want to not even think of dieting and just lift? Do it. Want to run because you love it? DO IT.
In the social media era we live in right now- it's very easy to get caught up into what everyone else is doing and let it influence what you think you should do. Don't do it for the likes, the comments, the praise, do it for you and your health. Do what you love! Hard work does pay off. It's easy to get discouraged but never EVER compare your chapter 1 to someone else's chapter 20.
